Week 1: Preliminary Task

In our first week of our coursework, the first thing we started to do was our preliminary task. While making the video, we had to make sure that the shots and camera angles we had used were correct, this was a very tricky task for us to do as we had never made a video before. Before making the video, we all had to think of names for our production. Therefore, each of us thought of names and and shared our idea with our group; by looking at all the names based on that we came up with we came to a conclusion and picked the final production name which was ‘Dynmaite Productions’. Before making the video, we also had to make a script. The script was the easiest part of the preliminary task as you can add your own ideas and make a story which is kind of easy to do in my opinion. Next, my group and I had to make a storyboard showing how we all wanted the video to look like and what will happen in each scene, who will be in each scene etc. After writing the script and making the storyboard, my group members and I finally came to making the preliminary task. It was a difficult task for us to do, as all of us were new to this and none of us remembered the different camera angles but we did overcome it . We all made sure that the storyline used was appropriate, the characters had the right role and the shots and angles used were correct for each scene. After the preliminary task was finished completely which also includes editing the video. When analysing the preliminary task, each of us had found out how many different shots and angles we didn't use.

Week 2

Week 2: Remake

In the second week of the completing our coursework, my group members and me and my other members of group were finally getting used to the different shot and angles. We also knew more about the names of the different shots and angles which are used during filming; which can make it easier for us in our remake. In order to make a remake of a film opening of a movie, we were given many options to choose from; we had chosen the ‘’ opening sequence of judo" We had chosen this because we found it much more easier, because of the props we needed to use in the video, as well as the camera angel was used which we were most aware of. Even though, we had made some problem during the filming process and we also made mistakes, but the video outcome came out much more better then the first one. After making the video, we had to evaluate the filming process.
