These are the directors in our chosen genre which is Crime; as we know every directors have different type of style, which to show their original look. 

1 - Paul Thomas Anderson

Paul Thomas Anderson has a precise and a serious minded style; to create this unique style of Paul Thomas Anderson he work with the camera movements, use of light and colour, the way he created the character in the script and sound track.

By camera works, Paul Thomas Anderson is more likely to be known as a long tracking shot and also allows the camera work to look around with tilting style, which this makes the audience curious and engaged, which means his movies are more like to be mysterious.

By the use of light and colour, Paul Thomas Anderson he uses mainly subtle and dull lights and colours, but at the same time Paul Anderson uses bright colours, in the main part of the scene.

By the way they created the characters in the script, Paul Thomas Anderson, he likes and makes the characters very complicated to understand and very strange characters. In addition, Paul Thomas Anderson has mostly directed actors who are nominated in Oscar, which this attracts the audience to look at the movie more, bacause of the actors.

Finally, by the soundtrack, Paul Thomas Anderson, makes the movie interesting, this is because he creates the right mood and to the audience, which Paul Thomas Anderson, to create this attractive mood he work with the one of the amazing composers, who are Brion and Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood.

2 - Lynne Ramsay

Lynne Ramsay style is more visually realistic which is more engaged to watch and determined movie, sometimes can be overwhelming too. Lynne Ramsay's style is also known as that she plays around and uses different types of texture, composition, colour, music and sounds, to create the scene more engaging and interesting.

 In her style we mainly see that she uses mostly camera work and images to create the mood and makes the movie interesting, not like other directors, this is because she doesn't use much of sounds and uses music to create feeling, but she uses pictures. 

3 - Nicolas Winding Refn

Nicolas Winding Refn known as that he is one of the directors, who have an amazing style compared to other directors. Nicolas Winding Refn says that to create this unique style compared to the other directors, he believes that art is equal to violence, which by this she means he uses his violent side to create his unique movies. By using this side of him, he explains that at the end he always ends up with various interesting and different types of ideas, which he uses to create his movie, which more audiences are interested in.

4 - Joss Whedon

Joss Whedon's style he mixes comedy in the crime genre, this is because he tries to attract all type of audiences and Joss Whedon doesn't want to bore the audiences too; because of this Joss Whedon adds jokes and comedy scenes in his script to engage the audiences.
